YMDRAB announces a Call for participants in project Think Critically Act Logically. The project aims at contributing to the prevention the intolerance and discrimination caused by fake news and disinformation in social media and beyond via empowering youth workers. The invitation is addressed to youth workers from Bulgaria, Greece, Romania, Portugal, Ukraine, Georgia and Armenia.
13 YMDRAB’s members had a meeting with 1 politician (representative of “Democratic Bulgaria” political party) and 2 scientists from the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. The event took place in Forest Research Institute – BAS in Sofia on 25.09.2021. They discussed together legal, political and social barriers Bulgarian young people face in accessing their rights at local level.
A final conference under project "For everyone saved a tree (FOREST)" took place on 19 March 2021 in Sofia. Its motto was ‘Engagement of young people in environmental protection actions - local examples and lessons learned’. The conference aimed at popularizing the idea of FOREST project and its results among young people and citizens, organizations and institutions interested in problems of nature conservation.
YMDRAB organized three herbarium exhibitions of forest plants - in Hight school "Acad. Prof. Dr. Asen Zlatarov" Botevgrad (10-16.02.2021), in the community center "Todor Peev - 1871" in Etropole (17-23.02.2021) and in the Historical Museum Pravets (09 -15.03.2021). Each of the exhibitions presented 160 herbariums of different forest species (trees, shrubs, herbs, ferns and mosses), which young people from Botevgrad created under project "For everyone saved a tree".
